Disgusted

Thieves have made an attempt to steal lead from the roof, doing much damage, significantly cutting the bell ropes to make for themselves a length of rope to lower the lead to the ground

I am particularly concerned as if the 4th rope had not fallen to the ground, no one would have suspected that anything was wrong and the bells could have been raised, then the rope could have come loose and the bells be out of control.
